Welcome to the EFORT Congress 2009 to be held in Vienna, Austria, where we will exchange scientific facts, share experience and build up awareness of future trends!

The EFORT Executive Committee and the Austrian Society of Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery are delighted to invite you to participate in this Congress and celebrate EFORT’s 10th Anniversary Congress in Vienna from 3rd to 6th June 2009.

During this congress, EORNA will participate on "Science in Orthopaedic Nursing session" wednesday, 3 June 2009.

• Ms Caroline Higgins,EORNA President elect, RGN, BNS, Operating Department Manager, St Vincents University Hospital ,Dublin, Ireland will present : "EORNA - European Operating Room Nurses Association"

• Ms Merja Fordell, Director of Nursing, RN, ORN, MSc, Surgery and Intensive Care Accountable Unit, Oulu University Hospital, Finland will present "Perioperative nurses profession".

The scientific programme includes symposia and instructional lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from across Europe. Free papers, e-posters, workshops, industrial symposia and technical exhibits will all feature.
Our efforts have progressively broadened collaboration with our Specialty Society partners for the scientific programme. Along with the scientific exhibition, this Congress format will cover the whole range of contemporary orthopaedics and traumatology issues in Europe.
The Congress will be held in the well-known Austria Center Vienna. Our local organising committee has planned a typical regional social programme that emphasises Vienna’s spectacular beauty and charm.
