NEW - International Summit
Attend AORN’s 1st International Summit. Listen, learn, and participate in discussions with national and international perioperative leaders. They address emerging issues and trends that impact the global perioperative community.

NEW - Combined Opening Session and Awards Recognition on Sunday
Opening Session returns to Sunday, and will include the presentation of individual awards. Join in the celebration!

NEW - Exhibit Floor Reception
Following the Jerry G. Peers Lecture, everyone is invited to celebrate the opening of the Exhibit Floor at a special reception in the Exhibit Hall!

NEW - No Exhibit hours on Thursday
Giving attendees more time to take advantage of Concurrent Education Sessions!

NEW - Two Congress Orientations (formerly First-Time Attendee Orientation)
If you are a first-time attendee or if you would like a refresher on Congress, attend one of the two
Congress Orientation sessions on Sunday, March 14. Session 1 is from 8-9:30am and Session 2 is from 1-2pm.

NEW - Student and Faculty Sessions
This year’s sessions are sure to engage students and faculty alike. The day starts with a welcome address, and a video. Students will have access to the Skills Lab. In the afternoon, students have full access to view the OR technology and services provided on the outstanding Congress Exhibit Floor. The faculty session, Forming Partnerships to Educate Nursing Students, will discuss the opportunities and challenges in using perioperative patient care settings for clinical rotations. New - International Summit
Attend AORN’s first International Summit where you can listen, learn, and participate in discussions with national and international perioperative leaders as they address they address emerging issues and trends that impact the global perioperative community. This day and half program is particularly designed for the international attendee, and will cover the following topics from an international perspective; patient safety, bulling and harassment, surgical smoke, surgical scrubs and hand washing, sharps safety, quality , and collaboration. International attendees will visit AORN Headquarters and network with each other on Saturday. Sunday there will be two round table discussion sessions where individuals will discuss the issues from their country’s perspective. In addition members of AORN will provided an orientation to Congress to ensure you get the most possible out of the experience. At the close of the session the international attendees will be escorted to the general session room and seated in a special location.
